Happy Wednesday! It's a humid 43 degrees out and raining (haha)and I only have to got to work until 3 tomorrow, then a whole weekend off.Yay.
On Friday after work we talked with our new landlady (it's an hour behind there) about our apartment, and were quite frustrated, she had given the one she showed David away! It was pretty upsetting, but she had told us that she had another one available that actually faces the apartment we were going to get. This one is actually nicer than our first one, which will have new carpets and front door parking (the other one would've been on-street parking, which I wasn't too excited about) Even though it was irritating to begin with, God gave us better than we even asked for! It is really showing me how to not fret about the little things. God is so much bigger than our frustrations and worries, oftentimes, it takes stepping out in faith and believing that when he shuts one door another will open up. If we are faithful, he will definitely be faithful.
God is also dealing with me about loving people who can be unloveable. It's easy to love someone who is nice to you, but so hard to love someone who is rude to you for no apparent reason. Even when they do or say things that are obviously selfish and self-centered, it takes the bigger person to ask God to bless them, instead of talking about them. Come on girls, you know what I am talking about! For some reason, we as women are prone to gossiping about each other,but that juicy piece of information that we heard about someone is not our business to be sharing with others. If we continue to gossip, that's what we'll be known for! And the person who is gossiping about others doesn't even know that what they are telling is making them look bad. Ask God to change your heart, so instead of cursing someone you will bless them by how you are talking.....my piece of advice on a Wednesday morning! ;)

That is so true - God's Way is ALWAYS Better!! This is such a hard thing to grapple with in the midst of change and trying circumstances. So glad things turned out better for you.
Loving people is probably one of the biggest character building tools besides trials!! Praise God that he loves us enough to shape us and mold us into the people that he wants us to be and that He extends to us His grace in those difficult times.
I so haooy for you guys that things worked to be even better in the end.

God is so good! He always works it out way better than we can. I'm glad that everything is working out well for Dave and yourself.
I agree with Sally. Loving people is hard! Jesus taught that the world will know that we are Christians because of the love that we have for one another. It's that simple, right? Now, if only people weren't so difficult! Keep working on it. Keep praying and let God be glorified by your obedience.
